BEFORE YOU BOOK

Rider requirements

Revura rents to experienced riders only. This page sets out exactly what that means, and it keeps three different kinds of rule apart: what the law requires, what an insurer requires, and what Revura requires.

To rent from Revura you need recent, genuine riding experience, a valid driving licence from home covering motorcycles or scooters, a local temporary licence where the law requires one, photo identification, and you must pass a short practical control check at handover. Revura’s minimum renter age is [minimum age].

Three different kinds of rule

Rental companies often blur these together, which leaves the visitor unable to tell what is law and what is house policy. Revura keeps them labelled throughout this page.

Legal requirements

Set by St. Kitts and Nevis law and enforced by the authorities. Neither Revura nor you can waive them.

Insurer requirements

Conditions attached to the cover on the scooter. Breaking one can remove cover even where nothing illegal has happened.

Revura operating rules

Our own rules. They are stricter than the law in places, on purpose, and we apply them consistently.

Insurer requirements

These are conditions attached to the cover on the scooter, not laws and not Revura preferences. Breaking one can leave you personally exposed even if you have broken no law.

Insurance position not supplied The insurance position for a Revura rental.

The brief bars describing the rental as “fully insured” without the precise coverage and approved wording, so this page will state exactly what is covered and exactly what is not, or it will say nothing. Rider age bands, experience minimums and passenger conditions imposed by the insurer belong here once confirmed.

Revura operating rules

These are ours. They are not the law, and we do not present them as the law. They exist because a small fleet, a visiting rider and an unfamiliar island is a combination that rewards being careful.

Experienced riders only

You need real riding experience on a scooter or motorcycle, and it needs to be recent. Specifically:

When we refuse a rental

Saying this plainly in advance is fairer than saying it at the pickup point. If any of these apply, please do not book.

We will not hand over the scooter if

What happens if we refuse

A refused rental is a bad outcome for both of us, and the honest fix is to catch it at booking rather than at handover. That is why the qualification questions are asked up front.

Policy required Refund position when a rental is refused at handover.

If you are not sure whether you qualify, ask before you pay. It takes a couple of messages.
