Rental terms
The agreement between you and Revura Scooter Rentals. You accept these when you book, and again in writing at handover.
These terms are the agreement between Revura and the rider named on the booking. They cover who may ride, the rental period, the security deposit, damage and loss, fuel, permitted use, what you are liable for, breakdowns, accidents, fines and refusal. The rider requirements and the cancellation policy both form part of them.
1. Who this agreement is between
This agreement is between Revura Scooter Rentals and the rider named on the booking.
2. Who may ride the scooter?
Only a rider approved by Revura at booking may ride the scooter. The published rider requirements form part of this agreement. Allowing anyone else to ride is a breach of these terms.
3. Rental period
The rental runs from the time of handover to the agreed return time. Late return is charged at US$15 per hour started, up to one day’s rate of US$65.
4. How does the security deposit work?
A deposit of US$500 is taken at pickup as a card hold or cash. A cash deposit is returned at the return inspection. A card hold is released the same day, and your bank can take 3 to 7 days to show it.
Deductions may be made for damage, loss, fuel shortfall, late return, cleaning and fines. Any deduction is evidenced against the condition photographs taken at handover.
Damage is charged at repair cost and taken from the deposit. Each charge is shown against the before-and-after photos taken at handover and return.
The deposit and every other charge that can appear on your bill are listed on the scooter rental prices page.
5. What happens if the scooter is damaged or lost?
The scooter is photographed at pickup and at return. The return inspection uses the same checklist as the pickup inspection.
The rider is liable for damage to the scooter. Anything above the US$500 deposit is billed to the rider.
6. Who pays for fuel?
Return the scooter with the fuel level you collected it at.
The same rule appears in the fee table on the prices page.
7. What use is not permitted?
The following are not permitted:
- Riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Carrying a passenger where the passenger policy does not permit it
- Exceeding the combined weight limit
- Riding without the supplied helmet
- Allowing an unapproved person to ride
- Riding off-road, on beaches, or on surfaces the scooter is not intended for
- Racing, competition or stunt riding
- Using the scooter for hire, reward or delivery work
- Taking the scooter off the island without written agreement
8. What are you liable for?
You are liable for damage to and loss of the scooter as set out in section 5, for charges taken from the deposit under section 4, and for fines under section 11.
9. What happens if the scooter breaks down?
If the scooter becomes unrideable, stop safely and contact Revura on WhatsApp with your location. Do not attempt roadside repairs.
Roadside support is part of the Revura SafeRide System. It is a set of procedures, not insurance, and it does not guarantee that a breakdown or delay cannot happen or that a rental can always be continued.
If the scooter breaks down, Revura comes to you and swaps it if another scooter is free. If none is free, Revura refunds the unused rental time.
10. What do you do after an accident?
In an accident, call 911 for police or ambulance, or 333 for fire. Then call or WhatsApp Revura on +1 869 763 4441.
11. Who pays traffic fines?
Fines, penalties and charges incurred during the rental are the rider’s responsibility. That includes traffic fines that arrive after the rental ends.
12. When can Revura refuse or end a rental?
Revura may refuse to hand over the scooter, or end a rental in progress, on the grounds set out on the rider requirements page.
13. What happens if you cancel?
Cancellation is governed by the cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms. It sets out the notice periods, the refund amounts and what happens when a ship misses the port or a cruise is cancelled.
14. What happens to your information?
Documents you show us are handled as described in the privacy policy. Revura does not send licence details, identification or payment information to advertising or analytics platforms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of St. Kitts and Nevis.
