Frequently asked questions
Grouped by what you are trying to work out. If your question is not here, message us – we would rather answer it before you book than after.
Do I qualify?
Yes. Revura rents to experienced riders only. You need genuine, recent experience on a scooter or motorcycle, and you must pass a short practical control check at handover. A rental is not a place to learn, and the roads here do not forgive it.
Minimum experience: [years of experience]. Most recent ride: [recency requirement]. Full detail on the rider requirements page.
Revura’s minimum renter age is [minimum age]. That is a Revura rule and is separate from any legal minimum, which is [legal minimum age].
Yes. Maximum rider weight: [maximum rider weight]. Combined rider and passenger: [combined weight limit]. Both figures come from the scooter’s rating.
A few minutes on the scooter in a safe spot before you take it onto the road: starting, low-speed control, braking and turning. It confirms you are comfortable on this machine. It is not a lesson, and it cannot stand in for experience.
Licences and documents
A valid licence from home covering the vehicle, plus a local temporary licence where St. Kitts and Nevis law requires one. Which home licence classes count is still being checked with the licensing authority, so the temporary driver’s licence guide carries what we can confirm so far.
We do not have a confirmed answer yet. [IDP position] Visitors get this one wrong in both directions, so we are checking it with the licensing authority instead of guessing. What we can confirm sits on the temporary driver’s licence guide.
[government fee], paid to the issuing authority. Revura does not add a margin to it.
Your driving licence, photo identification, your temporary licence where required, and a payment method for the balance and deposit. Cruise passengers should also bring their ship card and know their all-aboard time. The full list sits on the rider requirements page.
Booking and payment
As soon as your dates are fixed. Revura runs two scooters, so a busy cruise day can put both out, and a multi-day rental holds one for its whole period. Check availability for your dates before you plan the day around it.
[booking amount]. The balance and the security deposit are settled at pickup, and you see the full total and the terms before you pay anything. Every figure that can appear on your bill is listed on the prices page.
[payment methods] How payment is split between booking and pickup is set out under how payment works on the prices page.
Damage, loss, fuel shortfall, late return and fines. It is [deposit amount], taken at pickup and released after the return inspection. We photograph the scooter at handover and show you any deduction against those photographs.
[cancellation terms] A missed port and a cancelled cruise are handled separately. Both sit in the cancellation policy, along with the notice periods and refund amounts.
Pickup and delivery
Cruise visitors collect at Port Zante. Stay-over visitors can have it delivered. Walking directions are on the Port Zante pickup page, and the areas we cover are on the hotel delivery page.
Allow [total pickup time] from arriving to riding away, including the temporary licence where it applies, the handover and the control check.
Yes, to hotels, villas, Airbnbs and marinas. Delivery fee: [delivery fee]. Zones are on the hotel delivery page.
[bag storage policy] Cruise visitors ask this most, so it is covered again on the Port Zante pickup page.
Riding and support
[passenger policy] Where permitted, a passenger helmet is supplied and the combined weight limit applies. The rider requirements page sets out the passenger rules in full.
[night-riding policy] Lighting off the main roads is limited and potholes are much harder to spot after dark. Night riding sits alongside the other road conditions on the safety page.
Stop and wait it out. Rain here is usually brief, and the first few minutes are the most slippery. Message us if it changes your return timing. When conditions make a booking unsafe: [weather policy], set out in the cancellation policy.
Get somewhere safe, send your live location on WhatsApp, and wait with the scooter. Roadside support comes with every rental as part of the SafeRide System. SafeRide is a set of procedures, and it does not guarantee that nothing goes wrong.
[insurance position] The SafeRide System is a set of operating procedures and gives you no insurance cover. What you are liable for sits in the rental terms.
[Nevis policy] Ask us before you book if the ferry is part of your plan.
