Arriving by cruise ship
Scooter rental for cruise passengers
We plan a cruise-day rental backwards from your all-aboard time. You get a route you can finish, an agreed turnaround point, and a buffer before you have to be back at the pier.
Yes, you can rent a scooter for your day in St. Kitts. Pickup is a short walk from the cruise pier at Port Zante, Revura rents to experienced riders only, and visiting riders normally need a local temporary licence. Read the rider requirements before you book, then book by ship and date so we plan the timing against your real all-aboard time.
Your day
How a cruise-day rental runs
- Book by ship and date We ask which ship you are on and which date you are in port. Ships arrive and depart at different times, so we size the rental to your ship rather than to a fixed clock.
- Qualify before you sail We check riding experience, licence and age when you book. Nobody should discover a problem standing on the pier with a ship to catch.
- Bring the right documents ashore Take your driving licence, a photo ID and your ship card off the ship with you. The full list is below.
- Walk to the meeting point Pickup is at Port Zante, [walking time] from the pier. Exact instructions are on the Port Zante pickup page.
- Temporary licence, if required Where a local temporary licence is required, we tell you what the process involves and where to go. Allow [licence processing time] for it on a cruise day. See the temporary-licence guide.
- Handover and control check Helmet fitting, the pre-ride inspection walk-through, the practical control check and the condition photographs. Allow [handover time].
- Agree the route and the turnaround We set a latest safe turnaround point against your all-aboard time. Past that point you head back regardless of what is still ahead on the route.
- Return, inspect, release the deposit Return at the agreed time with the buffer intact. The return inspection uses the same list as the pickup check. The deposit and every charge that can reach your bill are set out on the scooter prices page.
Bring ashore
- Your driving licence from home
- Photo identification
- Your ship card
- [passport requirement]
- A payment method for the balance and deposit
- Your ship's all-aboard time
Planning
What fits in your time ashore
The figures below are planning estimates. We mark a route verified once we have ridden and timed it, and the routes page shows which are which.
| Hours ashore | Realistic route | Riding time | Turnaround point |
|---|---|---|---|
| Under 4 hours | Frigate Bay and back | riding time | turnaround |
| 4 to 6 hours | Timothy Hill viewpoint | riding time | turnaround |
| 6 to 8 hours | Cockleshell Beach, Southeast Peninsula | riding time | turnaround |
| 8 hours or more | Brimstone Hill, or the full island loop | riding time | turnaround |
When plans change
Cruise days go wrong in predictable ways. Here is what happens in each case.
What if your ship never docks?
Weather and sea state cancel St. Kitts calls. If your ship does not dock, you did not choose to cancel.
What if your ship docks late?
A late berthing costs you time ashore. Message us with your new arrival time. We shorten the route to the hours you have left and reset the turnaround against the same all-aboard time. Collection still has to fall inside the cruise-day collection window below.
What if your departure time moves?
If all-aboard moves earlier while you are ashore, message us. We re-plan the return and, where it helps, meet you closer to the pier instead of having you rush a route.
What if your cruise is cancelled?
A cancelled sailing is handled under the cancellation policy.
What if you are running late on the road?
Send your location on WhatsApp. We would rather redirect you early than have you ride hard to make up time. A late return is charged under the rental terms, and missing your ship is the outcome we are trying to prevent.

Cruise passenger questions
Allow [total pickup time] from arriving at the meeting point to riding away, including the temporary licence where it is required, the handover and the control check.
With two scooters, a same-day booking depends on whether one is free. Booking ahead is the only way to be sure, and it settles your rider qualification before you sail. Check availability for your cruise date as soon as your itinerary is confirmed.
Two riders need two scooters, and Revura has two. Both riders must qualify separately. Carrying a passenger instead depends on the passenger policy and the combined weight limit on the rider requirements page.
Then a scooter is the wrong choice for your day ashore. St. Kitts has left-side driving, steep grades and variable road surfaces, and a cruise day is a hard deadline. A taxi tour covers the same sights without the risk. We would rather tell you that than take the booking.
Check availability for your cruise date
Tell us your ship and date. We confirm whether a scooter is free before you pay anything.
